The JBL SRX812P is a 12-inch active speaker that we rent both as a main speaker and as a stage monitor. The amplifier and DSP are built in, so mains power and a signal from the console are all it needs. Typical jobs are a band concert in a smaller hall, a company party, a wedding with a couple of hundred guests and a DJ night where an SRX818SP subwoofer carries the bass.

The SRX812P is the most powerful of our active speakers and reaches the lowest, so choose it when the PRX812 or PRX815 would be too thin, or when you need a reliable monitor for a singer. On a pole it sits on an SRX818SP or SRX828SP subwoofer; as a separate stand the Gravity TLS 431 B fits. For a bigger stage and thousands of listeners, look at the VTX A8 line array.

What to consider when renting

Each speaker needs a mains socket and an XLR signal cable from the console or mixer. Add a Gravity TLS 431 B for stand use, or a Speaker Pole on top of a subwoofer. As a monitor the cabinet lies on its side at an angle. Keep cables out of the audience's path and cover the speaker from rain outdoors. A two-speaker kit can be set up yourself.
