DJ kit for up to 200 people
The DJ kit for up to 200 people is a complete DJ booth and sound system in one rental: two Pioneer CDJ-3000 players and a DJM-A9 mixer, the club standard that every working DJ knows, a DJ table to put them on, and speakers and subwoofers for two hundred dancers. It is meant for a company party, a birthday, a club night or a smaller festival stage where the DJ arrives with nothing but USB sticks and headphones. The kit gives a band no microphones or monitors, and the single wireless mic is for the MC or the host.
On the night the DJ puts their sticks in the players, the mixer is in front of them, and from the DJM-A9 outputs the cables run to the speakers and subwoofers. There is no separate sound desk; the DJ mixer is the centre of the system and the microphone has its own channel on it. The speakers stand on poles on top of the subwoofers. If the DJ brings a laptop, they play through the CDJs from the computer over a network cable. Setup and building the table is a job for one or two people.

Why these items
- 1.Two Pioneer CDJ-3000 players are the same model found in clubs, so the DJ has nothing to learn and the contents of the USB stick, the cue points and loops work as rehearsed.
- 2.The Pioneer DJM-A9 is a four-channel DJ mixer with room for a third and fourth source besides the two players, such as a laptop or a second DJ's gear, and its mic channel serves the MC.
- 3.The Gravity FDJT 01 is a DJ table with adjustable trays that hold the players, the mixer and a laptop at the right height, so the party does not depend on the venue's tables.
- 4.Two JBL SRX812P powered speakers carry the vocals and the top end of the music to the back of a 200-person dance floor and handle the output level of a DJ mixer.
- 5.Two JBL SRX818SP powered 18-inch subwoofers, one on each side, give club music the bass that 200 dancers expect.
- 6.Two distance poles lift the speakers onto the subwoofers, so there are no stand legs on the dance floor and the speakers are above head height.
- 7.The Shure QLXD24/B58 wireless handheld is for the MC, the host or the birthday toast and connects straight into the DJM-A9 mic channel.
Setup and preparation
Assemble the DJ table at the edge of the dance floor, players either side of the mixer and the laptop on its tray. Subwoofers at the sides of the dance floor, poles on top and the SRX812Ps on the poles; easier with two people. From the main output of the DJM-A9, XLR cables run to the speakers and on to the subwoofers, and the mic receiver connects to the mixer's mic input. Switch on the mixer before the speakers, play one track and set the speaker level.
The organiser needs to provide sockets at the DJ table for the players and mixer and on each side of the dance floor for the speaker towers, free floor space for the table, and a DJ who knows Pioneer equipment. The DJ brings their own USB sticks or laptop and headphones. Agree the volume and finishing time rules with the venue. Our technician can deliver the system, set it up and test it before the DJ arrives; this is agreed when you order.

When to choose another kit
If the DJ plays vinyl, choose the DJ vinyl kit with two Technics turntables. If the DJ comes with their own controller and no players are needed, the Party kit for up to 200 people, with the controller plugged in, is enough. If there are more than 200 dancers or the outdoor ground is large, we pair the same players with a bigger speaker system; ask us and we put together a kit with a line array or extra subwoofers.
