Party kit for up to 200 people
The party kit for up to 200 people is the sound system for a large hall, a barn or a company summer days tent, when there are a hundred or more dancers and the bass has to come through the floor. Compared with the 100-person party kit, it has two subwoofers instead of one, SRX812P speakers with a three-inch high-frequency driver instead of the PRX815, and a digital mixer run from a tablet instead of an analogue one. The speakers stand on poles on top of the subwoofers, so there are no stand legs on the dance floor.
On the night, subwoofers at the sides of the dance floor, speakers on poles on top of them, the mixer tucked under a table, and control from a tablet that the organiser carries. The music comes from a laptop through the USB DI box or from a DJ controller into the mixer inputs. The two wireless handhelds are for the host and the toasts. Because the mixer stores its settings, the sound check can be done in the afternoon and the same scene recalled in the evening. Setup is a job for one or two people.

Why these items
- 1.Two JBL SRX812P powered speakers have a three-inch high-frequency driver and carry vocals and the top end of the music clearly to the back of a 200-person hall, where the PRX series is already working hard.
- 2.Two JBL SRX818SP powered 18-inch subwoofers, one on each side, give twice the bass of the 100-person kit and spread it evenly over a large dance floor.
- 3.Two distance poles join a subwoofer and a speaker into one tower that takes less floor space than a stand and keeps the speakers above the dancers.
- 4.The Soundcraft Ui24R is a tablet-controlled digital mixer that fits under a table, stores its settings and lets you adjust the level from the middle of the room, where the party is actually heard.
- 5.The two wireless handhelds of the Shure SLXD24D/B58 cover the host, the toasts and the raffle without cables on the dance floor.
- 6.The Radial USB-PRO connects the laptop to the mixer over USB, so the playlist plays cleanly even from a computer that has no headphone socket.
Setup and preparation
Put the subwoofers on both sides of the dance floor, screw the poles into them and lift the SRX812Ps onto the poles; easier with two people. The mixer can sit beside a subwoofer or under a table, where the cables from speakers, DI box and mic receiver meet. Switch the mixer on, connect the tablet to the mixer's own wifi network and open the mixing view. Play a familiar track and walk around the room until the bass and top end are right at the back tables.
The organiser needs to provide sockets on each side of the dance floor for the speaker towers and one by the mixer, a table for the laptop, and a tablet or phone to control the mixer. Decide in advance who manages the level and the mics in the evening and show them the tablet view before the guests arrive. If this is your first time with a digital mixer, book our technician for setup and sound check; they can stay for the evening if wanted, agreed when you order.

When to choose another kit
If there are fewer than a hundred guests and the room is an ordinary restaurant hall, the Party kit for up to 100 people is enough, with less to carry and a mixer that works without a tablet. If a band plays at the party, look at the Live band kit for up to 200 people, which has monitors and instrument mics. If the DJ comes without their own gear, choose the DJ kit for up to 200 people, which has the same speakers together with players and a DJ mixer.
