Sennheiser e904

The Sennheiser e904 is a compact dynamic cardioid microphone for toms and snare. It attaches to the drum rim with the supplied clip, so you do not need a stand per tom. It is rented to fully mike a drum kit at club gigs, on festival stages and in the studio, usually two or three at a time. The sound is fast and full with good attack, and the small body stays out of the way of the drummer's sticks. No phantom power needed.

We stock two clip-on solutions for toms: the e904 and the Shure Nexadyne 6. The Nexadyne 6 is newer and supercardioid, which means stronger rejection of cymbals on a loud stage; the e904 is the familiar, simpler cardioid and cheaper. For snare on a stand, the Shure SM57 or BETA 57A also works. A complete Sennheiser set comes together with the e902 on kick and e914 overheads, plus a Soundcraft Ui24R with enough channels.
