Presentation and seminar kit for up to 150 people
The presentation and seminar kit for up to 150 people is meant for a conference hall, a larger training room or a hotel seminar room where presenters change all day and the audio from the slides has to reach the room as well as the speech does. Two twelve-inch speakers cover a seated audience of up to 150, and four wireless channels give two presenters free hands and two moderators or questioners a handheld mic. Audio from the laptop comes through a USB DI box, without the headphone socket and the hum that usually comes with it.
On the day it usually works like this: a headset is fitted on the presenter before their talk and the bodypack goes in a pocket or on a belt, while the second headset is already on the next presenter, so the changeover takes no time. The moderator runs the day with the handhelds and lets the audience ask questions. One of the organisers sits at the mixer, opens the right channel and starts the audio for the video. The kit also works for a panel discussion, with two participants wearing headsets and two speaking into handhelds.

Why these items
- 1.Two JBL PRX812 powered speakers are twelve-inch models that give speech and presentation audio the headroom a room of 150 would not get from ten-inch speakers.
- 2.Two speaker stands lift the PRX812s above head height, so the back of the room hears the speaker directly rather than from reflections.
- 3.The Soundcraft Signature 10 is an analogue mixer with six mic inputs, enough for four wireless channels and the laptop, and can be operated without menus.
- 4.The Shure SLXD24D/B58 gives two wireless handheld mics in one receiver, for the moderator and for questions from the floor.
- 5.The Shure SLXD14D is a dual bodypack system that gives two presenters a wireless channel for a headset mic.
- 6.Two Shure MX153T headset mics sit behind the ear, leave the presenter's hands free for slides and notes and stay in place when the presenter walks.
- 7.The Radial USB-PRO connects the laptop to the mixer over USB, so video and presentation audio comes through cleanly even from a computer that has no headphone socket.
Setup and preparation
The speakers go on stands either side of the screen, in front of the presenter so the headsets do not feed back. The mixer and wireless receivers go on a table at the side of the room, in sight of the presenter and screen. Connect the laptop to the DI box and the DI box to a stereo input on the mixer. Fit the headsets before the doors open and walk in front of the speakers to find the level that does not feed back. Talk through all four mics.
The organiser needs to provide sockets by the screen and by the mixer table, a table for the mixer and receivers, and a person who opens and closes channels during the day and starts the video audio. Agree with the presenters who gets a headset and when, and the changeover will be quick. Stock batteries for a full day. If you would rather not worry about the day, our technician can come, set up the kit and stay at the mixer if wanted; this is agreed when you order.

When to choose another kit
If there are fewer than 50 listeners and one or two presenters, the cheaper Speech kit for up to 50 people is enough. If the hall holds up to 300 people, there are many presenters, or you need Dante connections for recording and streaming, choose the Conference kit for up to 300 people with a digital mixer and a four-channel receiver. If a party follows the seminar, add a subwoofer to the order or look at the Party kit for up to 100 people.
