Party kit for up to 100 people
The party kit for up to 100 people is the sound system for a birthday, an office party or a graduation party where the music comes from a phone, a laptop or a DJ controller and announcements or toasts go through the microphone. Two fifteen-inch speakers and one 18-inch subwoofer give enough bass for dancing in a medium-sized hall, a community house or a summer house yard, which speech kits cannot do. It is not meant for a live band, as there are no monitors or instrument mics, and for a club night one subwoofer is not much.
The evening usually goes like this: speakers on stands at the edges of the dance floor, the subwoofer on the floor between them or under one speaker, the mixer on a table next to it where the host or whoever owns the playlist can see it. The music plays through the stereo DI box, which takes the phone or laptop signal without hiss and without fear of a long cable. The handhelds are for toasts and running games and stay muted on the mixer the rest of the time. One person can set the kit up and start it alone.

Why these items
- 1.Two JBL PRX815 powered speakers are fifteen-inch models, which gives dance music a fuller low-mid range than a twelve-inch speaker and lets the subwoofer handle only the deep bass.
- 2.One JBL SRX818SP powered 18-inch subwoofer adds the punch a dance floor of 100 people needs, and one is enough as long as the room is not hall-sized.
- 3.Two speaker stands lift the PRX815s above the dancers' heads so the sound also reaches the back of the room where the tables are.
- 4.The Soundcraft Signature 10 is a simple analogue mixer with room for the music source and two microphones side by side, and its channel knobs make sense to a stranger even mid-party.
- 5.The Shure SLXD24D/B58 gives two wireless handheld mics for toasts, games and the host, with nobody tripping over a cable.
- 6.The Radial PROAV2 stereo DI box takes the output of a phone, laptop or DJ controller and sends it to the mixer over balanced XLR cables, so a long run does not pick up hiss.
Setup and preparation
Place the speakers on stands at the sides of the dance floor and the subwoofer under one speaker or against a wall. The mixer belongs on a table behind the speakers so the mic does not feed back. Connect the phone or laptop to the DI box, the DI box to a stereo input on the mixer and the mic receiver to the mic channels. Switch on the mixer, then the subwoofer and speakers, play a familiar track and set the bass before the guests arrive.
Prepare sockets by both speakers and the subwoofer, or one decent extension lead, a table for the mixer and phone, and a person who is responsible for the music and the mics once the evening gets going. Keep the phone on charge and in flight mode so calls do not interrupt the music. Check the venue's and the neighbours' rules on volume and finishing time. Our technician can deliver the kit, set it up and tune the sound; this is agreed when you order.

When to choose another kit
If there are 150 to 200 guests or the room is a large hall, choose the Party kit for up to 200 people: it has two subwoofers, more powerful speakers and a digital mixer controlled from a tablet. If a real DJ plays at the party, the DJ kit for up to 200 people makes more sense, with players and a DJ mixer already included. If there is no dancing and you only need speeches, the Speech kit for up to 50 people is enough.
