Shure SE215CL
IEMSound Isolating Earphones
Prices are per 24 hours of rental. Longer rentals, delivery and setup are quoted on request.
The SE215CL are Shure's clear-bodied in-ear earphones that block out stage noise and are the standard choice to go with rented in-ear monitor packs. The cable runs over the ear and detaches from the earphone, and sleeves in several sizes are included. We rent them with PSM900, ADXR and P9HW packs to singers, players and presenters who do not have earphones of their own.
If the musician owns moulded in-ears, these are not needed; if not, the SE215 is comfortable and isolating enough even for a long concert. Isolation is what makes in-ear monitoring work at all: without it the pack gets turned up too loud. They suit the P9RA+ and ADXR radio packs as well as the wired P9HW and the TASCAM MH-8 headphone amplifier.
What to consider when renting
Pick a sleeve size that fits each user; the soft foam sleeves usually isolate better than silicone. Insert with the cable looped over the ear and push the plug fully into the pack. For hygiene we give every user fresh sleeves and ask that earphones only pass from one person to another after cleaning. Start at a low volume on the pack and do not exceed a level your ears can take for the whole show.
Best for
- Singers on a PSM pack
- Drummers and keyboard players
- Presenters and TV shows
- Spare earphones for a band that forgot theirs
