The P9RA+ is the bodypack receiver of the Shure PSM900 system, worn on the belt with earphones plugged in. It receives the mix from the P9T transmitter; volume and the balance between two mono mixes are under the musician's control. We rent it as an extra pack: when a band listens to one general mix, one transmitter plus a P9RA+ for each member is all it takes.

The pack works only with the PSM900 transmitter P9T (and a PSM1000 transmitter in the same band), not with the Axient Digital ADTQ, which uses the ADXR. It runs on AA batteries or a Shure rechargeable charged in the SBRC. Earphones are ordered separately, for example the SE215CL. If the musician stays in one place, the wired P9HW can replace the radio pack; it is simpler and needs no frequency.

What to consider when renting

Insert fresh batteries or a charged pack and plug in the earphones before switching on, with the volume at minimum. The pack's frequency must match the transmitter; it is set when it leaves us. Wear it so the antenna hangs free and is not trapped between the body and a metal belt. If the dual mono balance is going to be used, show the musician the control before rehearsal, not on stage.
