Does the pack come with earphones?

No, earphones are ordered separately because many musicians use their own moulded in-ears. From us you can add the Shure SE215CL.

Can the ADXR work without an ADTQ, for example with our own PSM1000 transmitter?

No. The ADXR is digital and works only with the Axient Digital PSM transmitter ADTQ. For analogue PSM systems we have the P9RA+.

The ADXR is the Axient Digital PSM bodypack receiver, the part of the in-ear system that the musician wears on the belt. It receives the ADTQ transmitter's digital stereo mix and feeds it to the earphones, with volume and balance in the musician's own hands. We always rent it together with the ADTQ: one pack for every musician listening to their own mix on stage, whether singer, drummer, keyboard player or conductor.

The ADXR works only with the ADTQ transmitter and is not compatible with the PSM900 P9T; if your system is PSM900 you need a P9RA+ pack. Earphones are not included, so add SE215CL or bring your own moulded in-ears. Power comes from a Shure rechargeable battery, charged in the SBRC rack charger; for a long day order spare batteries. If the musician does not move (a drummer, say), the wired P9HW can do the same job without any radio.

What to consider when renting

Each ADXR needs a charged battery and earphones, and its frequency must match one of the ADTQ channels, which we set before handover. Clip the pack to the belt or in a trouser pocket so the antenna is not squashed against the body. Before rehearsal have every musician turn their pack down and bring the level up gradually, to protect their hearing. A spare battery and the charger are a must on a long day.
