Which headset works with the QLXD14?

Any of our TA4F microphones: the Shure DH5T and MX153 headsets, the MX150 lavalier and the SM35 for singers. Ask if you are not sure.

Can I add a handheld to the same receiver?

The receiver has one channel, but a QLXD2 handheld can be used with the same receiver in turns. To use two microphones at once you need a second system or the SLXD24D/B58 kit.

The Shure QLXD14 is a digital wireless bodypack system: the QLXD4 receiver and a QLXD1 bodypack. The renter picks the microphone separately, a headset, a lavalier or an instrument cable with a TA4F connector. We rent it to trainers, conference speakers, fitness instructors, theatres and guitarists who want their hands free and to move on stage without a cable.

The receiver goes to the desk by XLR, exactly like the QLXD24/B58 receiver. Pair the kit with a Shure DH5T or MX153 headset, an MX150 lavalier or an SM35 for a singer. If you need two bodypacks at once, the SLXD14D is a two-channel kit. For top-tier theatre work take an Axient Digital AD1 or ADX1 with an AD4D receiver.

What to consider when renting

Add a microphone with a TA4F connector and an XLR cable to the desk. The pack runs on two AA batteries or a Shure rechargeable. Fit the microphone and cable to the clothing so the cable does not rustle, and set the gain on the pack at the soundcheck. The receiver finds a frequency by scanning and the pack syncs by infrared. One system can be set up on your own.
