The Shure AD610 is the ShowLink access point: a small unit for changing settings on Axient Digital ADX transmitters remotely, without taking the pack from the performer's hand or from under the costume. One access point serves up to 24 transmitters. We rent it with ADX1 and ADX2 for theatres, TV studios and conferences where a fitted microphone stays untouched.

The AD610 joins the AD4D or AD4Q receivers' network by cable and sits in view of the stage so the link to the transmitters holds. It does nothing for the AD1, AD2 and AD3, which lack ShowLink. With the AD600 spectrum manager it also enables automatic frequency changes under interference. With few transmitters within reach, you can skip it.

What to consider when renting

You need a network cable into the receiver network and power, either PoE or an adapter; confirm when ordering. The access point goes on a stand or at the stage edge, in line of sight of the performers. ShowLink works in the 2.4 GHz band, so keep it away from dense Wi-Fi access points. Settings are changed from the receiver or from Wireless Workbench; we recommend a sound engineer does this.
