Which transmitters does the RPW 192 fit?

Shure AD2, ADX2, QLXD2 and SLXD2 handhelds, all of which we stock. It does not fit other manufacturers' transmitters.

Does swapping the capsule change the transmitter settings?

Not the settings themselves, but the KSM11 is more sensitive, so gain and the monitor mix need checking at the soundcheck.

The Shure RPW 192 is the KSM11 condenser capsule in black that screws onto a Shure wireless handheld transmitter. It turns a handheld with a Beta 58A or SM58 capsule, like the AD2/B58 or SLXD2/B58, into a higher-class vocal microphone without a new transmitter. Most often it is taken for the lead singer while the other microphones stay dynamic.

The capsule fits Shure handhelds with screw-on capsules: AD2, ADX2, QLXD2 and SLXD2. It needs no power or cable; the swap is purely mechanical. If you want a complete KSM11 microphone from the start, there are the AD2/K11, ADX2/K11 and QLXD2/K11. The capsule alone is not a microphone and does nothing without a transmitter.

What to consider when renting

Swap the capsule with the transmitter switched off: unscrew the old one and screw the new one on snugly, without force. A condenser capsule is more sensitive than a dynamic one, so lower the transmitter gain and check for feedback at the soundcheck. Keep the capsule in its packaging in transit and away from damp.
