The Shure QLXD2/K11 is the QLX-D series handheld with the KSM11 condenser capsule, Shure's higher-class vocal capsule in the mid-series wireless system. It suits a soloist who wants a better sound than the Beta 58A without going up to Axient Digital: acoustic concerts, churches, galas and theatre singing.

The transmitter works with the QLX-D receiver QLXD4, which comes with our QLXD24/B58 and QLXD14 kits. The catalogue lists it as a system, so confirm when ordering whether you need only the transmitter for an existing receiver or the complete kit. In Axient Digital the same capsule is on the AD2/K11 and ADX2/K11.

What to consider when renting

It needs a QLXD4 receiver, two AA batteries or a Shure rechargeable and an XLR cable from the receiver to the desk. The condenser capsule is sensitive, so set the gain at the soundcheck and keep the microphone away from monitors. When used alongside other QLX-D systems, scan the frequencies one after another with each system switched on. The infrared sync happens in front of the receiver.
