The Ortofon Concorde Club MKII is a DJ cartridge whose body and stylus form one unit that screws straight onto the end of a Technics tonearm. No separate headshell or alignment is needed, which is why the Concorde is the usual choice in clubs. The Club version is made for playing and mixing records, not for scratching. It is always rented together with SL-1210MK7 turntables.

The Technics SL-1210MK7 comes without a cartridge, so add a Concorde for each turntable. Vinyl needs a phono input on the mixer; the Pioneer DJM-A9 has them. If the DJ brings their own cartridges, this is not needed, but a spare is still worth taking, because the stylus is the most vulnerable part of the setup. If you need a different Concorde variant, ask us.

What to consider when renting

Screw the cartridge onto the tonearm and set the counterweight and anti-skating to Ortofon's recommendations; the tracking force for the Club model is given in the manufacturer's data. Keep the stylus guard on until the turntables are in place. The phono cable and ground wire go to the mixer's phono input. Have a technician or an experienced DJ check the tracking force when connecting.
